1.  The winner of the contest receives an engraved plaque.  The second and third prize winners receive a certificate, only the second prize winner shall receive a certificate  if less than 7 members participate in the contest.  * * *
   
2. Each contestant can submit a maximum of three movies.
                             
3. For the annual contest, the movies combined duration may not exceed 15 minutes.

4. For the 2-minute contest, a contestant may submit a maximum of 3 movies, each with a maximum of 2 minutes duration.

5. No movie over 5 yrs old should be allowed in any contest
unless it is substantially reedited from the original as determined by the judges. *

6. The order of presentation shall be determined by a lottery of one movie from each entrant.  If any entrants shall have second movies, there shall be a second lottery of those movies, for presentation after the movies from the first lottery.  If any entrants shall have third movies, there shall be a third lottery of those movies, for presentation after the movies from the second lottery.  All lotteries shall be held before any movies are shown.

7. Presentations of Second and Third movies may be eliminated if the duration of the presentation time exceeds 1.5 hours.

8. The contest chairman must be informed one week before the contest about the following:

      A. Movie's format (S-VHS, DVD, Mini DV, and            Digital 8).

      B. Name of producer, name of movie, and duration of           movie.

9. Every movie cassette shall have a label.  This label shall show the same information as written in paragraph 7 A, and 7 B.

10. The video shall be rewound within 20 seconds to its starting point.

11. The club secretary shall provide every contestant with a copy of these rules one month after the last movie contest.  (This gives the contestant enough time to make his movie within the contest rules.)

12. The movie shall be graded by points from 65 points to 100 points.

13. The Hi and Low score will be eliminated.  This means that only the score between the Low and the Hi will count in the total score.

14. A technical score shall be used as a tiebreaker if movies are even on percentage points.

15. Contestants may not vote if there are three or more judges on the panel.

16. Only paid up members arriving before the first movie may vote and the must sign the ballot.

17. Everyone may write comments, which will be passed on to the moviemakers.

18. Comments are not allowed during the showing of the movie.  Applause is now allowed after the conclusion of the movie.

19. The President shall be the Contest Chairman unless he selects someone else.* *

20. Two members that have not participated in the contest shall count the score under the supervision of the contest chairman no later than the start of next meeting (if time doesn’t permit to make the count on the day of the contest).**

21. The complete standings shall only be disclosed in private to a contestant’s request.* *

22. The Contest Chairman shall announce the 1st, 2nd,and 3rd place of the contest plus the Honorable Mention when applicable after they have been tallied at the next meeting.**

23. Choose by lottery which format (S-VHS,  DVD, Mini DV, and Digital 8) to screen first, before choosing the order of presentation.* *
